Edward Munzing began his career at the Department of Aviation in 2006 as a Purchasing Analyst and was subsequently promoted to a variety of positions. He now serves as Managing Director of Aviation, Procurement and Contracts. In this role, Munzing oversees purchasing for the Clark County airport system. He works closely with the Clark County District Attorney's office on a variety of contractual issues and ensures compliance with Nevada Revised Statutes, Clark County fiscal directives and Department of Aviation policies and procedures.
Prior to joining the Department of Aviation, Munzing spent time working in the finance, utilities, gaming, and automobile industries. With over 25 years of purchasing experience, Munzing has been awarded the Clark County Customer Service Excellence Award and was previously nominated for Southern Nevada Buyer of the Year. Munzing is involved with the Nevada Association of Purchasing Professionals and supports a variety of local business outreach events.
Munzing is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, where he earned a bachelor's degree in management science, economics. He also earned a master's degree in supply management and marketing from the University of San Diego. An automobile and motorcycle enthusiast, Munzing enjoys spending time attending car auctions and shows with his family and friends, as well as playing tennis and ping pong.
